Getting started

1. Create an account

Click "Sign up", enter your name, email and mobile, choose a password, and confirm the 6-digit code we send to your email. You need a verified account to buy; your codes and invoices live there.

2. Choose a barcode type and a pack

EAN-13 for most retail products, UPC-A for North America and ISBN-13 barcodes for books. ITF-14 codes for outer cartons are not sold separately: you make them free from your EAN-13 numbers (step 5). Pick a pack (one code per product variant) and add it to your cart. Every price includes the 18 % GST and shows the per-code rate. QR codes cannot yet be delivered through your account, because the page for entering their content is not yet available; please contact us before buying a QR pack.

3. Pay securely

Enter your billing details at checkout, then pay on Razorpay's checkout using the payment methods it shows you. Add your GSTIN at checkout if you want it printed on your invoice, and enter your billing state so the right GST applies.

4. Download your codes

Once your payment is confirmed, your codes appear under "My Barcodes". "Download all" gives you a ZIP with an SVG and a PNG image of the bars for each code, plus a CSV list of your numbers. You can download it again whenever you need it.

5. Make carton codes for your cases

ITF-14 carton codes — free with every EAN-13 you buy from us, made from your own EAN-13 as GS1's rules require. In "My Barcodes", open "Carton codes" next to an EAN-13, choose a packaging indicator from 1 to 8 (a different digit for each pack size) and, if you like, a note such as "Box of 12". Download the PNG or SVG straight away; carton codes you have made are also in the order's ZIP. Your account

I have forgotten my password

The password-reset email is not being sent at the moment, so the "Forgotten your password?" link will not reach you. Email contact@purchasebarcode.com from the address you registered with, and we will help you get back into your account.

How do I update my details?

Log in and open Profile to change your name, mobile, billing address and GSTIN. Your email address cannot be changed there; write to us if it needs changing.

Where are my orders and invoices?

Under "My Orders" in your account. Each paid order has a "Download invoice" link.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are taken by Razorpay. Its checkout shows the methods available for your payment. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay's checkout, and your full card number, CVV and UPI PIN never reach us.

Is GST included in the price?

Every price includes the 18 % GST, and the ex-GST figure is listed beside it on the pack page and on your invoice. Buyers whose billing state is Delhi are billed CGST + SGST; buyers elsewhere in India are billed IGST. If you leave the billing state blank, the invoice treats the sale as within Delhi.

Can I get a refund?

Delivered codes are final, except in these cases: a faulty code (not a valid barcode of its stated type, or unreadable by a standard scanner because of a fault in our file) or a duplicate, reported within 30 days of delivery; codes not as described; codes not delivered within 3 business days of payment being confirmed; and failed, duplicate or excess payments. Approved refunds usually reach you within 7–10 business days. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Using your codes

How do I print a barcode?

The images contain the bars only, with no digits underneath and no blank margin (quiet zone) around them. When you prepare your label, add the number under the bars and leave a clear white margin on both sides. The PNG is 90 pixels high at 96 dpi and 285 pixels wide (about 75 × 24 mm at 100 %) for EAN-13, UPC-A and ISBN-13; an ITF-14 carton-code PNG is 1800 pixels wide and 489 pixels high at 300 dpi (152.4 × 41.4 mm), GS1's full size for an ITF-14, including its bearer-bar frame and blank margins; the EAN-13, UPC-A and ISBN-13 SVGs can be scaled. An ITF-14 carton-code image, PNG or SVG, is drawn at GS1's full size: narrow bars 1.016 mm wide, wide bars 2.5 times as wide, bars 31.75 mm tall, a 4.8 mm bearer-bar frame and blank margins of 10 narrow bars. Print it at that size. To make it smaller, reduce its width only, never its height, and keep the frame as thick; on corrugated board, do not go below 62.5 % of its width. Print a sample and test-scan it before a full print run.

Will my marketplace accept it?

That is the marketplace's decision. Our codes are valid GTIN-format numbers but are not registered in the GS1 database, and some marketplaces and retailers check codes against the GS1 database and may accept only GS1-issued codes. If something has gone wrong with an order, a payment or your data, see Grievance Redressal. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month.
