Refund & Cancellation Policy
What we sell is digital and is delivered to your account, so this policy sets out plainly when you can cancel, when we replace or refund, and how long a refund takes. Please read it before you buy.
1. Cancelling before you pay
You can remove items from your cart at any time. When you submit the checkout form, an order is created and waits for payment; if you do not pay, nothing is charged and you do not need to do anything. There is no cancellation fee.
2. Delivered codes are final
Once barcode numbers have been issued to you, they are recorded against your order and are never issued to anyone else, even if you no longer want them. For this reason a delivered order cannot be cancelled or refunded, except in the cases in section 4. The declaration you accept at checkout says so.
ITF-14 carton codes are free and are not part of any order, so there is nothing to cancel or refund for them. If a carton code's image cannot be read by a standard scanner because of a fault in our file, tell us as in section 5.
3. Check your channel's rules first
Our numbers are valid, scannable GTIN-format codes, but they are not registered in the GS1 database. Some marketplaces and retailers check codes against the GS1 database and may accept only GS1-issued codes. Please check your channel's rules, or ask us, before you buy. Our "Which barcode do I need?" guide and Disclaimer explain this. If a channel refuses a code only because it is not GS1-issued, that is not a fault in the code, and we do not refund it once it has been delivered.
4. When we replace or refund
A faulty or duplicate code
If a code we delivered is not a valid barcode of its stated type, or cannot be read by a standard scanner because of a fault in our file, or is a duplicate of a number we issued to another customer, tell us within 30 days of delivery. We will replace the affected codes, or refund what you paid for them if we cannot replace them.
Codes not as described
If what you received does not match what our website described (for example, the wrong barcode type, or fewer codes than the pack contains), we will replace them or refund what you paid for them.
Codes not delivered
If the codes you paid for are not in your account within 3 business days of your payment being confirmed, you can choose a full refund for them instead of waiting. This includes QR codes: the page for entering QR content is not yet available on the website, so please contact us before buying a QR pack.
Failed, duplicate or excess payments
If you were charged but no order was confirmed, were charged twice for the same order, or paid more than the order total, we refund the extra amount in full.
5. How to ask for a replacement or refund
Email contact@purchasebarcode.com with your order number and, for a payment problem, the payment reference from your bank or Razorpay receipt. For a faulty code, include the number and what happened. We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and tell you our decision, with reasons.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid through Razorpay to the payment method you used, and usually reach you within 7–10 business days of approval. After that, the timing depends on your bank or card issuer. When an order is refunded, its codes, and any carton codes made from its EAN-13 numbers, are removed from My Barcodes, and its codes are not issued to anyone else.
7. Payment security and chargebacks
Payments are processed by Razorpay (razorpay.com), our payment gateway. You enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay's checkout; your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN and banking passwords never reach us. Razorpay's confirmation of your payment to our server includes the payment method and partial details, such as your UPI ID, the last four digits and network of your card, or your bank's name; we use them only to confirm the payment and do not store them. We do not set up recurring payments, and we add no fee to the total shown at checkout. If you think a payment was wrong, you can also raise a dispute (chargeback) with your bank or card issuer under its rules. Please contact us first, so that we have the chance to put it right.
8. Your rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If we cannot resolve your complaint, see our Grievance Redressal page. This policy is governed by the laws of India, and a consumer may file a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where the law allows, including where they live or work.
