1. Who we are

PurchaseBarcode is run by RNR Associates, a sole proprietorship based in New Delhi, India (GSTIN 07CXVPS1002E1ZH). "We" and "us" in these terms mean RNR Associates. By using the website or buying from it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy from us.

2. What we sell

Barcode numbers in the EAN-13, UPC-A and ISBN-13 formats. Each number has the correct length and check digit for its type, and its barcode can be read by standard barcode scanners.

ITF-14 carton codes. ITF-14 carton codes — free with every EAN-13 you buy from us, made from your own EAN-13 as GS1's rules require. We do not sell ITF-14 numbers on their own. You make a carton code under My Barcodes by choosing one of your EAN-13 numbers and a packaging indicator from 1 to 8 (one for each pack size); the code is that indicator, the first 12 digits of your EAN-13 and a new check digit. There is no order and no charge, and a carton code, once made, is not deleted.

For each number you receive an SVG and a PNG image of the bars and a CSV list of your numbers. The EAN-13, UPC-A and ISBN-13 images show the bars only: they do not include the printed digits or the blank margin (quiet zone) a label needs. A carton-code image includes a bearer-bar frame and the blank margins, but not the printed digits. You, or whoever prepares your label artwork, add what is missing. The Delivery Policy gives the file details.

ISBN-13 barcodes. These are 13-digit numbers in the book (Bookland 978) format. They are not ISBNs assigned by an ISBN agency and are not registered with the Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency for ISBN, which issues ISBNs in India free of charge. If you need an ISBN for a book, apply to that agency.

QR codes. A QR code is made from content you give us, such as a link or text. The page for entering QR content is not yet available on the website, so a QR code cannot yet be delivered through your account. Please contact us before you buy a QR pack.

3. What our barcode numbers are, and are not

Our numbers are valid in format and scannable, and each one is issued to a single customer. They are not registered in the GS1 database, they are not licensed by GS1, and we are not affiliated with GS1 or any GS1 member organisation.

Whether a marketplace, retailer or other platform accepts a code is that party's decision. Some check codes against the GS1 database and may accept only GS1-issued codes. We do not promise that any marketplace, retailer, platform or system will accept our codes. Please check your channel's rules before you buy. Our EAN-13 numbers start with 715, a range GS1 has not assigned to any member organisation; some services, such as Google Merchant Center, flag numbers whose prefix GS1 has not assigned. GS1 lists the prefixes it has not assigned as reserved for future use, so we will re-check GS1's list at least once a year (last checked 17 September 2026). A prefix is not a GS1 licence. 4. Uniqueness

We keep a permanent record of every number we issue. Numbers come from a pool we share with one other store, buzzlytech.com, and a number issued to you is never issued to another customer of either store. We cannot rule out that a number is the same as one that GS1 has assigned to another company, or that an ISBN-13 number from us is the same as an ISBN that an ISBN agency has assigned to another publisher's book, and we make no promise of uniqueness outside our own record.

5. Prices, payment and invoices

Prices are in Indian rupees and include 18 % GST. The total you pay is shown, with the GST separately, before you pay, and we add no fee to it. Payment is taken by Razorpay, our payment gateway, using the payment methods its checkout shows you. We do not set up recurring payments.

Once your payment is confirmed, an invoice for your order, with the GST shown separately, can be downloaded from My Orders. CGST and SGST apply when your billing state is Delhi, and IGST applies for any other state. Please enter your billing state at checkout: if it is left blank, the invoice treats the sale as within Delhi.

6. Delivery

Everything we sell is delivered digitally to your account. Nothing is posted or couriered. Barcode numbers are issued to your account once Razorpay confirms your payment. If the codes you paid for are not in your account within 3 business days of that confirmation, you can choose a full refund for them. See the Delivery Policy.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can remove items from your cart, or leave an unpaid order, at no charge. We never charge a cancellation fee. Once numbers have been issued to you they cannot be taken back and issued to anyone else, so a delivered order is final, except that we replace or refund:

• a code that is not a valid barcode of its stated type, that cannot be read by a standard scanner because of a fault in our file, or that is a duplicate of a number we issued to someone else, if you tell us within 30 days of delivery;
• codes that are not as described on our website;
• codes not delivered within the time in section 6; and
• failed, duplicate or excess payments.

Approved refunds are paid to your original payment method and usually reach you within 7–10 business days of approval. The full rules are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree that you understand our numbers are not GS1-registered; that you will use them lawfully; that you will not describe them to anyone as GS1-registered, or describe our ISBN-13 numbers as ISBNs assigned by an ISBN agency; and that you are responsible for checking whether a channel you use accepts them. The information you give us must be true, accurate and current.

9. What we promise, and what we do not

We promise that each barcode number we deliver is a valid, scannable code of its stated type and is issued only to you. We do not promise that any third party, platform, retailer or system will accept it.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the website unlawfully or fraudulently, try to damage or disrupt it, introduce malicious software, or collect data from it by automated means without our written permission.

11. Your account

You need an account, with a verified email address, to buy. Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

12. Our content and other names

The text, graphics, logos and software of this website belong to RNR Associates or are used with permission. You may not copy, distribute or modify them without our written permission. Names such as GS1, EAN, UPC, GTIN, ISBN and the names of marketplaces belong to their owners and are used on this website only to describe standards and channels; see the Disclaimer.

13. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the website or of our codes, including a third party's refusal to accept a code. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other right that the law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact us first. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. The process and contact details are on our Grievance Redressal page.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next sentence, the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms stops you from filing a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where the law allows, including where you live or work.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its "Last updated" date, applies to orders placed from that date.
